Writing this as I sit in a salad shop in SF, waiting for @johzeeck to escape the 3 HOUR LONG immigration queue at SFO airport - yes, thank god for Global Entry that fast-tracked things for me, but more than that: Why didn't we just stay Right. Here. ?
Fresh pasta is having a moment in London right now @padella_pasta started it (everything about it is ✨ except the queues), @linastores is so cute and wonderful (best negronis), newly opened @bancone .pasta is the more formal option (good date spot) - and @pastaiolondon is the fun one, in Soho, all colourful murals, terrazzo tables & slushy cocktails - and without the Padella wait times too
The standout restaurant from our Brighton trip: @plateaubrighton Natural wines, cosy interior, quirky vino-focused artworks, excellent background music, exceptional seasonal local sustainable sharing plates (oysters - heirloom tomatoes - asparagus & sheep's curd - potato chips ). All just SO GOOD #HYHOIinBrighton
There are only a select few people who I will defer restaurant choice to... and @lindsay .eats.vegan has definitely earned her spot on that list! She is a London vegan maven, and I'm always happy to go plant-based when she recommends it Plus I've been dying to try the coffee at [questionably named] @iwillkillagain for ages (thank you for the exceptional barista-ing @bobbylonx !) ☕ #HYHOIinLondon
