Snaps from the weekend up north.. Incredible cacti, interiors & coffee at @thebewilderedpig, wine & goats cheese tasting at @pennyroyalfarm in Boonville, redwood forest roads and coastal walks in Mendocino, and a pinot noir flight at @macrostiewinery in Sonoma! ☕🐐🧀🍷🌳🌊🍷🍷 Just a few of my favourite things!
Glamping at @mendocino_grove - another memorable birthday trip, falling asleep in the foggy forest, with an electric blanket and the sound of the sea and fog horn, and watching the waves with a morning coffee. One year older but very relaxed right now!
Yosemite, you make me feel so small yet so alive 💘💘🏞️⛰️ Day 2 in @yosemitenps and somehow, maybe, this managed to surpass the already-amazing first day?! Cathedral Lakes trail is a MUST DO, and fyi the Upper lake is def nicer than the Lower Lake (& also happens to be the lesser known / poorly signposted!)
Day 1 of another incredible trip to @yosemitenps: Cloud's Rest (15 miles and 950m elevation, up to that narrow granite ridge and incredible views of Half Dome), plus sunset from Glacier Point - this place blows my mind every time, with its larger than life beauty
Came across @MacRostieWinery in my bible, The New Architecture of Wine by @heathersandyhebert - and we loved it so much that we joined their wine club 🍇🍷🎉 which basically feels like a rite of passage in becoming legit authentic Bay Area residents, ha. Can't wait to return *frequently* for on-the-house tastings in that stunning hilltop building with those vineyard views, with a glass of fizz / Chardonnay / Pinot Noir / all of the above 🙌🏻
Weekend of glamping at newly opened @WildhavenSonoma - would love to return, as the location (in relation to the wineries) was fab, and the price point just right - but it should be noted that the tents are very close together, the clientele was skewed towards families with young (whining) kids, and the section of the Russian River that was accessible from the campsite was more like a kids swimming pool!!! I'm not known for my patience or tolerance though 😂 so take my review with a pinch of salt! 👵🏻😠🙉
