Irene’s: Fab breakfast spot in Austin

I am a tad obsessed with Irene’s…  To the point that I breakfasted there two days in a row, which is most unlike me.  It’s the gourmet PB&J toast that keeps me coming back for more – homemade jam, incredible peanut butter, a sprinkling of peanuts on the top…  Oh my.  Coffee is served in iconic mugs, and the whole shebang is best enjoyed out on the patio.

Irene’s does a broad breakfast menu (the sweet and savoury toasts take centre stage), and also great cocktails and dinner – but I just can’t get past the toast…
