Osteria: Brutalist architecture & negronis in the Barbican

Osteria is the fancy restaurant housed within the Barbican – but I like to visit just for the bar.  Brutalist architecture can be a bit “Marmite”, but I certainly love it – and the concrete jungle views from Osteria are second to none.
Take a seat in a midcentury-style armchair by the window, with a cocktail in hand (negroni specialists Galleria Campari are currently in residence, so you’re in good hands) and a plate of grilled octopus, and soak up the brutalism as the sun goes down.
