Cambridge Street Café: Uber cool eatery within Pimlico’s Artist Residence hotel

Set at street level in the uber trendy Artist Residence hotel, between Pimlico and Victoria stations (Hurrah! Finally a venue to draw you to this area!), Cambridge Street Café is pretty as a picture, with a brunch menu to ease you into even the hardest of mornings.
A relaxed and welcoming neighbourhood cafe by day, and a quirky modern restaurant by night, I can highly recommend the daytime offering, with all the usual brekkie suspects, plus coffee, juice and baked goods.
The omnipresent smashed avocado and eggs breaks tradition by topping dark rye; banana pancakes come with both sweet and savoury topping options; and open Reuben sandwiches and Croque Monsieur and Madame bring an international vibe not often found at London brunches.
Have a nose around the place before you depart – there’s a cocktail bar and private dining rooms in the basement – I particularly appreciated the street art and flashes of neon signage…
The rooms and suites are the epitome of cool too, perfect for a city break or staycation… (There’s an Artist Residence in Brighton too, FYI.)
