First there was The Dairy in Clapham, and then The Manor, just around the corner. Well now there’s Paradise Garage, all the way East on Bethnal Green’s Paradise Row – those railway arches opposite the Town Hall Hotel (so-called “Paradise” for their previous incarnation as brothels) – so I was intrigued to see if it could be just as fab as its Clapham predecessors…
Just like The Dairy, Paradise Garage serves up beautifully presented sharing plates, each one an unusual feast for all the senses – think Lamb’s Heart with Fennel Kimchi, Venison Tartare with Preserved Egg Yolk, and the most incredible still-warm homemade sourdough bread with whipped smoked whisky butter – we demolished three bread baskets!
Or you can place your tastebuds in the hands of the pros, and opt for the tasting menu of 10 courses £45.
Paradise Garage is basically The Dairy, served in an E2 railway arch with a side of East London quirk (not unexpected in Bethnal Green! 😉 ) and it’s really rather good.
