The Blues Kitchen is bordering on a chain, with three restaurants now going strong in London (Camden, Shoreditch and now Brixton), but the success and spread is a result of the strong offering – awesome BBQ food that strikes the perfect balance between quality and quantity, and the largest bourbon menu in London, all set to the soundtrack of live blues music, and a backdrop straight out of The Deep South.
And I can tell you, there’s not much that makes me happier than a meal of Old Fashioneds and beef short rib, enjoyed to the tune of a double bass while sitting in a leather booth, beneath a Tiffany light salvaged from Pennsylvania!
This is a fab spot for a casual and upbeat evening, with mates or dates – and particularly spot on during this dreary time of year.
Blues Kitchen Brixton is new, but its predecessors in Camden and Shoreditch are pretty swish too…
