Balls & Company: Meatball focused menu on Greek Street, Soho

Head to Greek Street for a meatball focused meal at recently opened Balls & Company. Not just any meatballs. With flavours ranging from classic (Wagyu beef or pork) to novel (beetroot & feta quinoa or salmon), everyone’s a winner – vegetarians included.
It’s £8 for four balls, then pick a sauce to accompany them. Sauces have been designed to go with any of the balls, so you can mix and match for your ideal combo.
Side dishes are strong too – polenta chips with rosemary salt and a zingy fennel and raw courgette salad hit the spot perfectly. To put it simply, the food is honest – the meat is top notch, the greens are super fresh and the chefs do the fab ingredients justice.
One portion of meatballs plus a side per person is perfect (though this is a great meal for sharing, so you can try a bit of everything!), and leaves just enough space to order pudding too – which you must. An awesome brownie topped with Persian fairy floss is about to become the most Instagrammed dessert of late 2015, I’m sure of it! Tres Leches cake, with a dollop of meringue and rose petals, also hit the sweet spot.
No reservations, but it’s a good bet (and less busy) for lunch. I loved the geometric design motif that is a theme throughout the interior and dining experience – pop along and pull up a bentwood chair to experience it for yourself.
Down beneath the restaurant is a speakeasy-style cocktail bar, perfect for a post-meatball nightcap – called Company Below, it’s well worth a visit.
