When in Barcelona, I made the mistake of following the tourists to indoor food market Mercado de La Boqueria. After wasting 5€ on some awful calamari that resembled cold rubber, I escaped to the back alleys of El Barri Gòtic (the Gothic Quarter). Legendary churro spot Xurreria Banys Nous was shut, sending me spiralling into depression (!) – but after venturing further into the warren-like streets, I stumbled across Satan’s Coffee Corner, and my mood was instantly elevated sky-high once again!
Why visit Satan’s Coffee Corner?
It’s hard to find – which definitely makes you appreciate its awesomeness even more.
It is Barcelona’s most hipster coffee spot, in my opinion – and I have a talent for finding these hipster hangouts wherever I go, it seems! Hard to find, with bearded baristas, racks of design magazines and a really unique and awesome interior.
Satan’s Coffee Corner is top of the coffee game, serving fabulous Right Side Coffee any way you want it. There’s a short food menu too, that’s a great shout for breakfast or lunch.
There’s no WiFi, so enforced relaxation is the order of the day! There’s plenty of seating space though, so grab a friend or one of those hipster design magazines, and enjoy being offline.
