Keystone Crescent is a subterranean members only lounge just off Caledonian Road – “a club for sociable people who like straightforward drinks until unsociable hours“. Members are emailed a new door code each month that grants then access to this plush and warmly lit little bolt hole, in all its cosy and stylish glory.

If you get in quick, membership is free – yup, absolutely diddly squat! But there are a limited number of free memberships available, so head here to sign up sharpish – you’ll need to enter “HYHOI” when asked for the name of the member who has referred you.

Once a member, you can make a booking or just turn up (you can take up to 5 guests), heading underground to cosy up in a winged armchair by the fire with a drink. There’s a comprehensive wine list, served in fine stemless glassware and staggeringly good value at just £4 a glass. There are cocktails too – some Keystone specials plus all the classics, expertly crafted by a friendly, dapper barman.
