Oscar @ Charlotte Street Hotel: Boutique choice for brunch & afternoon tea

I find that hotels are always a good shout for breakfast, brunch and afternoon tea, and Charlotte Street Hotel backed up this belief when I visited for a belated Mother’s Day brunch in March.
From the Firmdale Hotel group, Charlotte Street has the same striking interior design as the Ham Yard and Crosby Street hotels – all have been designed by Kit Kemp and feature her signature riot of colour, pattern and texture.
The Oscar restaurant at Charlotte Street puts on a fabulous spread each morning – we opted to raid the breakfast buffet for £12 (available until 11am), accompanied by cafetières of fresh coffee. I was dining with my mother and sister, having just completed a super sweaty spinning class at nearby Psycle, and we used the exercise as an excuse to load up on obscene quantities of fresh fruit and granola, pots of parfait, pastries and muffins!
I’d recommend having a nose around the hotel on your way out, as the interior is quite something.
Design lovers with cash to burn should consider checking into this ideally-located boutique hotel when visiting London.
