Insta-October: A month in pictures

Not everything I do makes it to the blog, obviously – I only like to feature the places that I think are worthy of my time and energy to write them up, plus there are only so many hours in the day!! But I try to share EVERYTHING on Instagram – frequent updates at all hours of the day – @ninafitton if you don’t follow me already. Here’s a taster from October…
I love breakfast! {1} The Refuel restaurant at the Soho Hotel is beautiful inside (similar to the Crosby Street Hotel, NYC – same hotel group) and does great porridge! {2} The Running Horse pub in Mayfair just started serving breakfast – hearty stuff. {3} Berners Tavern is a firm breakfast favourite of mine – the interior is so OTT and super stylish, and the French toast is to die for. {4} Sea Containers just opened inside the Mondrian hotel on the Southbank – I took my sister for breakfast – waffles with dark chocolate and coconut creammmmm 🙂 [full review coming soon!]
There were some new openings in the capital! {1} Sea Containers restaurant and bar at the Mondrian hotel takes the submarine décor to the extreme! {2} I dined at Crocker’s Folly in a room made from fifty different types of marble and lit by huge chandeliers [full review coming soon!]. {3} Mission is the new restaurant under the railway arches at Bethnal Green from wine aficionados Sager + Wilde [full review coming soon!]. {4} The Joint started in Brixton but has now opened a second, more upmarket outpost in Marylebone.
{1} The Sykes-Hawley wedding was a stunner, on a sunny day in the Hampshire countryside. {2} The elongated summer we enjoyed meant more time for playing motorcycles. {3} The Liberty stationery hall is still one of my favourite places in all of London – you don’t get better wrapping paper than this! {4} I’m learning to cook! I cooked for five starving boys (made one of my mum’s failsafe comfort foods) and we all survived the experience!
I started a Coffee Club in the office! Each week we go to a new independent coffee shop. {1} TAP Coffee on Wardour Street for the best beans. {2} Curators Coffee Gallery on Margaret Street for the best interior. {3} Workshop Marylebone on Wigmore Street for the cute factor. {4} Attendant in the ex-public toilet on Foley Street for quirk-factor.
Stay tuned for November… Follow me @ninafitton.
