ETHOS: Self-service meat-free restaurant near Oxford Circus

Banish any carnivorous cravings for the sake of the environment, and head instead for ETHOS, where your hunger will be satisfied by an entirely meat-free buffet.
ETHOS opened its doors just last month, on Eastcastle Street (basically behind Topshop Oxford Circus!), and invites customers to dine amongst the indoor forest of silver birch trees, sitting at marble tables – this is vegetarian dining at its most contemporary and luxurious.
The feel-good food is abundantly spread, buffet-style, for guests to load their plates (or takeaway boxes), before heading to the counter to weigh and pay.
My lunch plate cost around Β£7.50 – a little more pricey than your average sandwich, but the deliciously different dishes from around the world are bursting with flavour.Β Stand-out items were the Courgette Ribbons & Feta, Zucchini Pancake and the house favourite Aloo Scotch Egg (best enjoyed with spiced tomato sauce) – all fabulous!
Dessert is also available; or pop in for a leisurely weekend brunch (Β£17 for unlimited food, a hot drink and juice).
ETHOS really is doing a great job of opening diners’ eyes to the versatility of vegetables and meat-free cuisine.

I really enjoyed this review, iit’s concise and elegant. In my humble opinion, much better than the Time Out’s one.
By the way, Ethos seems to be something different in the overhyped, overrated and overpriced Soho crowd.
