Sans Pere is an interesting combo of coffee shop, patisserie, lunch spot, workspace and estate agent (!) opened by a guy with a real estate background who recently lost his father (hence the name, “without father”).
The interior is beautiful, there’s a bicycle valet out front, the flat whites are spot-on (speciality coffee is headed up by an ex-Origin big dog), lunchtime salad bowls are absolutely delish (if a little pricey), and the choux pastries (made in the open kitchen) are just the most perfect little puffs I’ve ever seen. Sounds like a winning combination to me.
I say: Go for a coffee fix, stay for the stunning marble bar and excellent people watching vantage point.
Welcome to Shoreditch, Sans Pere.
