Located right in the most “Oxfordy” area of Oxford, the Tower House hotel is quite a find. Just off Broad Street, overlooking Jesus College, and a stone’s throw from the Sheldonian Theatre, the grade II listed sixteenth century townhouse (complete with exposed beams, wonky corridors and super low ceilings!) has been tastefully furnished – quirky and stylish, each room is cosy and unique.
The hotel is twinned with the Turl Street Kitchen, and an all-you-can-eat à la carte breakfast is included in the room rate – enjoy good coffee, pastries and various hot breakfast staples in the rustically designed space. Sunday lunch is also a big deal at TSK.
There are five double en suite rooms, and then three smaller doubles that share a bathroom; prices start from £100 per night (a crazy-low price for central Oxford), making the Tower House my go-to hotel choice whenever the Dreaming Spires are calling.
