I fell totally and utterly head over heels in love with Bethnal Green’s Town Hall Hotel. So many reasons why…
The aesthetic is bang on – exactly what I want from my hotels, combining architectural splendour with cutting-edge design and the utmost comfort. There are design icons everywhere you look, plus a handful of quirky décor touches. The building itself is breathtakingly beautiful, with Art Deco features added in the 1930s that have set THH up as a famous film location.
Planning an event? The Town Hall Hotel has so many fantastic spaces:
For something more formal – even a wedding – consider the Council Chamber, which is panelled in Australian walnut wood and flooded with natural light…
The De Montfort Suite is an entirely self-contained venue with soaring ceilings, huge stained glass windows and traditional architecture. The striking space is brought bang up to date with iconic furniture and a modern angular glass bed/bath area. Book it for an event, or for a super impressive honeymoon suite!
The Town Hall Hotel has a deal with the O2 arena, whereby the De Montford Suite plays host to the all the O2’s headliners. Staying at the hotel therefore hugely increases your chances of bumping into Lady Gaga in the lobby or Taylor Swift on the stairs!
