Join the beautiful people of Parsons Green for a deliciously wholesome brunch at Hally’s this weekend. The dress code? Gym wear is accepted – nay, encouraged! – and feel free to bring your pooch (Hally’s is dog friendly). This is the spot for a leisurely West London weekend brunch, and everyone here glows with “body is a temple” health and vigour!
The interior is so stunning and sugary sweet that it hurts. A derelict cocktail bar was overhauled and remodelled as a Californian beach house, with reclaimed wooden floors, bright whitewashed bricks and an open glass frontage that floods the place with light.
Every little detail has been considered, with knick-knacks and finishing touches on every shelf and surface. Bentwood chairs have been tastefully dipped in pastel-hued paints and sunny yellow Tolix stools stand tall by the bar.
Food-wise, the menu is inspired by California with a focus on freshness, quality and bold flavours. Most of the menu is organic and ethically sourced, split into Healthy, Hungry, Grains & Bowls and Bread & Toast sections. Healthy options include Quinoa & Sweet Potato Hotcakes and salads for £10; Hungry dishes are heartier – burgers, full English, steak and eggs, etc for £11.
Honey-roasted peaches, honeycomb granola and porridge are £7, then you’ve got the standard avocado toast, smoked salmon bagel and a divine-sounding French toast with pineapple & pomegranate salsa (£7-£10).
Coffee is Monmouth, Bloody Marys and craft beer are available, and juices are cold-pressed and uber healthy! In my mind, my Green Dream juice (spinach, cucumber, apple, lime, pear, celery) was counterbalancing all the excesses of my huge Full English breakfast…!
Arrive no later than noon if you want to get a table – once the pretty people of Parsons Green have finished their morning yoga classes there’s a stampede down to Hally’s for brunch, so you’re going to need to beat them to it!
