The Fhitting Room has just opened its second New York studio in the Flatiron district – just across the road from the amazing Dough doughnut store, which is a real test for your willpower! A large and incredibly green space, with shiny new facilities, high tech lockers and showers with luxury products, it’s already proving a popular sweat spot for New Yorkers looking to torch fat, tone up and achieve fitness goals via HIT (High Intensity Training).
Whereas Tone House‘s extreme athletic workout is geared towards those who are already at a high fitness level, The Fhitting Room’s Signature FHIX classes are much more accessible and inclusive – workouts are adaptive as the instructors modify weights and intensity based on personal performance to ensure that one and all will gain something from the session.
That doesn’t mean, however, that the workout is easy, oh no – simply that the deliberately crafted sequences of exercises are achievable while still creating a challenge – just as they should be! No one wants to leave an exercise class feeling like they could’ve done more if they’d been pushed a bit harder, after all.
Expect circuits of burpees, mountain climbers, kettle bell swings, TRX pikes, straight leg jackknifes, rowing or skiing, weighted walking lunges and squats, organised into intervals of resistance and cardio that cause a fat-burning afterburn effect that can last up to 48 hours – assuming you really go for it and push yourself!
